Libya Embassy Legalization

The US Arab Chamber of Commerce assists U.S. exporters and corporations to expedite the legalization process and obtain the required authentications in a timely manner.

Legalization of business documents

(all type of documents except invoice or certificate of origin)

The US Arab Chamber of Commerce legalizes business and federally issued documents from the Embassy of Libya in Washington D.C.

Business documents must be signed, notarized, and certified from the secretary of the state such as:

  • Affidavit
  • Power of Attorney- POA
  • Assignments
  • Business Letters
  • Certificate of Status
  • Agency Agreements
  • Letter of Authorization
  • Articles of Organization
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Certificate of Good Standing
  • Certificate of Merger
  • Certificate of Registration
  • Company Bylaws
  • Certificate of Amendments
  • Certificate of Incumbency
  • Board Resolution
  • Certificate of Existence
  • Certificate of Formation
  • Technical Data Sheet
  • Certificate of Analysis

Federally Issued documents do not require state certification. Must be original, such as:

  • Certificate of free Sale-CFS
  • Certificate to Foreign Government-CFG
  • Certificate of Exportability
  • Certificate of Pharmaceutical Products-COPP
  • Patent Certificate
  • Trademark Certificate
  • Phytosanitary Certificate
  • FBI Background Check

Once we receive your document we will do the following:

  1. Certified it from the Secretary of the State.
  2. Stamp it by the US Arab Chamber of Commerce.
  3. Authenticate it from US Department of State.
  4. Legalize it by the Embassy of Libya in Washington DC.

Legalization for Commercial Documents (Commercial Invoice-Certificate of Origin)

Certificate of Origin and Commercial Invoice destined for use in Libya must be:

  • Original document signed by a company official and notarized.

Once we receive your document we will do the following:

  1. Certified it from the Secretary of the State.
  2. Stamp it by the US Arab Chamber of Commerce.
  3. Authenticate it from US Department of State.
  4. Legalize it by the Embassy of Libya in Washington DC.

How to request the chamber's stamp?

USACC urges customers to include a request form which can be printed from our website.
Start by clicking on the desired country name, and you will be directed how to complete your request. Our new computerized system automatically e-mails customers when their package is received, and again when their completed documents are shipped back.

Prepare a package and include all the following items:

  • Your documents.
  • Your completed request form.
  • A prepaid return envelope.
